Billy travelled the world on the ships as an engineer. He used to have to clean the inside of the oil tanks a messy job to say the least and used to welcome time on deck in the hot sun. He used to have to take salt tablets due to the heat and was caught one day walking around in his underpants and without his hat. An officer told him to get his head covered so he had to remove his pants to put them on his head or he would have been on a charge.
